Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has said she has no desire to relocate abroad, insisting that Nigeria remains home despite the country’s challenges.

Bello spoke at a panel discussion at “20+ Years in the Media: Real Talk with Kike @7”, where she explained why she would rather stay in Nigeria even though she has lived in the United States.

“America trained me, but Nigeria made me,” she said. She added that she hopes she never has the chance to go back, citing the opportunities she has seen in Nigeria and is still seeing. “This is home, this is where it is,” she said.
Advice to young people
Bello acknowledged Nigeria’s problems with electricity, education and healthcare. Even so, she urged young people to identify their strengths, acquire relevant skills and make use of the opportunities available to them. “Look within yourself, what do you have to offer? What is in your hands?” she asked.
She also credited her longevity in the entertainment industry to authenticity and honesty. She advised young people to stay true to themselves and hold on to their faith.
