The Edo State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the brutal killing of 30-year-old interior and event decorator Esohe Aigbe in Benin City.

Relatives said Aigbe had gone to a funeral venue on Ujo Street in the Ogida area to offer free design services for a friend’s ceremony when she was attacked. Investigation is ongoing.

Unidentified individuals attacked her shortly after she completed the decoration work. She was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital with severe injuries but later succumbed to her wounds
Command spokesperson Eno Ikoedem confirmed the incident to journalists, stating that preliminary investigations have linked an individual identified as Faith to the crime.
The suspect has been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, and the police are actively working to track down and arrest any remaining accomplices
