Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged residents to vote for President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election, while supporting Accord Party candidates in the National and State Assembly polls.

Adeleke made the clarification on Thursday in Ede while inaugurating the campaign committee for the re-election of Osun West Senator, Lere Oyewumi.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, said the voting arrangement would not confuse voters despite the proposed Rainbow Coalition aimed at supporting Tinubu.
“Let me state again that we are only going to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election only. The National and State Assembly elections will be for the Accord Party. There should be no confusion among the voters,” he said.
Adeleke described Senator Oyewumi as an effective representative and urged members of the campaign committee to work toward his re-election.
Oyewumi credited Adeleke’s leadership with Accord’s growing acceptance in Osun and expressed confidence that the governor’s popularity would help the party’s candidates. He also promised improved infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other development projects across Osun West.
Adeleke defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Accord Party in December 2025. He has continued to support Tinubu’s second-term ambition despite the political differences between his party and the APC.
