Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has criticised bloggers interviewing members of the family of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, amid an ongoing disagreement over his burial arrangements.

In an Instagram post, Aigbe accused some bloggers of worsening tensions between the singer’s widow and his family instead of allowing them to grieve privately. She said the late singer left behind a grieving wife and two young children.

The actress questioned the apparent lack of compassion surrounding the controversy and urged those covering the dispute to consider its emotional impact on the widow, children, and other relatives.

“Have we lost our sense of humanity? What happened to compassion? Must everything become content? Must every family disagreement become public entertainment?” she wrote.

Aigbe added that whatever disagreements exist, the family should be allowed dignity and privacy to navigate their grief. She said not every conflict needs an audience and that sometimes the most humane action is to “put the camera down.”

The actress stressed that the bereaved family needs privacy, support, and time to mourn rather than having their disagreement turned into online content or public entertainment.
