Students to block Abuja airport, Kaduna road today

In a show of support against the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ on-going strike, the National Association of Nigerian Students has announced that its members will block the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, and Kaduna-Abuja Expressway on Wednesday (today).

According to The PUNCH, on Monday, students at Ikeja’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport barricaded the entrances to both the domestic and international terminals, stranding travelers and other road users.

The NANS National Task Force’s chairman, Olumide Ojo, stated in a Tuesday interview with The PUNCH that the reason students did not demonstrate at the Apapa Port on Tuesday as originally planned was to give them time to prepare and strategize for a powerful demonstration on Wednesday.
