Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor in Lagos State, has said that if elected governor the next year, he would not halt any of the ongoing initiatives intended to improve the lives of Lagosians.
Adediran, also known as Jandor, said that his administration may need to revise a few of the project’s terms and conditions.
He stated: “Every initiative taken by the present government is for the benefit of the residents of Lagos State; we won’t intervene to stop them. We will simply examine the contracts and determine if they were authorized and granted in accordance with the procurement legislation. When we arrive, we’ll complete all open projects.”
Adediran assured reporters that he would manage Lagos as a servant-leader in order to breathe a breath of fresh air and transform the state’s government. He made this pledge when speaking to media in Lagos.
Adediran said he joined the opposition party to provide the people a strong option when he launched his campaign last Wednesday in Alimosho Local Government Area.
He said that the PDP granted him the chance to fly its banner because it recognized his capacity to overcome obstacles. He continued by stating that the ticket he was running on with Funke Akindele was an extreme deviation from the usual.
He promised to visit all 245 of the state’s wards and local governments to promote his party’s platform.
However, he acknowledged that the belief that no party can unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos remains the main barrier to his ascent. He continued by saying that based on his interactions with the population, many want to see the politics of the state alter.
The TREAT agenda—an abbreviation for technology-driven approach, rule of law, equality and inclusivity, accountability and transparency—will be the focus of Jandor’s administration, he said.
He said that the PDP is aiming to win Lagos in the next election in order to alter the nature of state government. He urged all admirers of Lagos State to work with him to save the region.
