Police in Anambra State have detained a mother named Chinelo Udogu for reportedly beating her three-year-old son to death.
According to sources, the suspect packed her daughter’s body in a bag and discarded it in a bush near Amikwo, Awka, the state capital, after realizing her daughter had passed away.
PUNCH According to Metro, several neighbors and security personnel caught the suspect after she led them to a thicket where she put the victim’s deteriorating corpse.
The guy admitted under questioning, “I hit her and she began convulsing. I then drove her to Kings (hospital). She passed away on the way there, so I tossed her corpse here.
The Anambra State Police Command acknowledged that the suspect had been apprehended and the issue had been sent to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further inquiries, despite the fact that the exact time of the occurrence was not disclosed.
The child’s corpse has been found, according to Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesperson for the state police.
Ikenga said, “A lady, Chinelo Udogu, has been detained and the victim’s corpse has been found in relation to the incident involving a woman who reportedly flogged a three-year-old kid to death and put her body in a bush at Amikwo, Awka.
The lesson is that we should use caution while furious and refrain from using physical punishment to discipline our children.
