No Business attacking church ” Ossai Ovie Slams Verydarkman For Dragging Nigerian Pastors”

Ossai Ovie Success, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor of Delta State, has sparked online debate following his reaction to social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, regarding recent remarks about Nigerian pastors and Christianity.

On Sunday, June 8, Ossai took to social media to express concern over VeryDarkMan’s ongoing confrontations with religious leaders, specifically referencing his recent viral commentary on Pastor Paul Adefarasin.

The controversy was ignited after VeryDarkMan shared a video in which Pastor Adefarasin, the General Overseer of House on the Rock, appeared to be holding an object resembling a gun while allegedly confronting a content creator. In his post, VeryDarkMan zoomed in on the video, suggesting the object was a firearm and questioning the legality of its possession under Nigerian law. He described the situation as both “disturbing” and “frightening.”

Ossai, however, condemned the critic’s approach, arguing that such harsh scrutiny is not directed at other religious groups. He accused VeryDarkMan of allowing himself to be used as a tool against the Christian faith and expressed his disapproval of the continuous attacks on church leaders.

In his statement, Ossai also suggested that the social media influencer may be in need of spiritual intervention or cleansing, emphasizing his concern about the direction of VeryDarkMan’s criticisms.

“Very Dark Man can’t abuse Imams, but he can abuse pastors and Christians? I’m disappointed in Very Dark Man for allowing himself to be used by the devil against the body of Christ. The young boy needs spiritual cleansing,” he wrote.
