A pastor based in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Joel Adedeji, has recounted his alleged involvement in money rituals during his younger years, claiming the practice brought him temporary wealth before he lost one of his legs in an accident.

Adedeji made the claims during an interview with BBC Yoruba, saying he sought spiritual help in his pursuit of wealth and a better life.

According to the pastor, a herbalist gave him instructions involving sexual intercourse with a woman of his choice and the use of a piece of cloth to wipe her private part afterwards. He said he followed the instructions and later began experiencing financial prosperity.
“The baba said I should look for someone I like and have intercourse with her and use a cloth to clean her private part once I am done. After I did that, truly money came, honestly, then he asked me to bring more,” Adedeji said.
He said he carried out further instructions and was warned by the herbalist that he would never be able to use the money to buy a car or build a house.
Adedeji said he enjoyed the wealth for about four to five years before his fortunes changed. He recalled that the vehicle that hit him belonged to him but was being driven by someone he had given money to purchase it.
“Before I knew it, I got hit and landed in the hospital, and before I woke up the next day, my leg had been amputated,” he said.
The pastor urged young people to avoid seeking quick wealth through questionable means, advising them to be patient and trust that what is meant for them will eventually come their way.
