Popular Nigerian socialite and celebrity bartender Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has flatly rejected widespread reports alleging that he contested and lost in an All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held in Imo State on Saturday, May 16.

The claims, which spread rapidly across social media platforms, suggested that the flamboyant entertainer had suffered a defeat in his bid to secure the APC ticket for the Ideato North and South Federal Constituency in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.

The viral reports quickly snowballed into a wave of online ridicule, with many users flooding the comment sections of his social media pages with mockery and jeers.
However, Cubana Chiefpriest has pushed back against the narrative, dismissing the accounts as false and distancing himself entirely from the reported electoral defeat.

Reacting to the development in an Instagram post shared this afternoon, ChiefPriest clarified that he boycotted the primaries after learning yesterday morning that his local government area was excluded from fielding a candidate for the election. He stated that he immediately left Imo State for Lagos, challenging anyone to prove they saw him at the venue.
The primary election concluded with the incumbent lawmaker emerging victorious to retain the party’s ticket.
