Speaking during a TikTok live session, the Ugandan socialite said women whose partners prevent them from working but fail to cater to their needs should consider seeking support elsewhere.

She said some men restrict their partners from earning an income while also failing to meet their basic needs, leaving such women financially stranded.
Zari argued that a woman in this position should not feel guilty about accepting emotional and financial support from another person willing to provide it.
In one of her most controversial statements, she said a woman cheating on a partner who neither provides for her nor takes care of her should not be regarded as infidelity, but rather as “self-defence.”
