Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday flagged off ‘Imole free medical and surgical outreach’, organised by the University of Osun Teaching Hospital to mark his 100 days in office.
Speaking at the ceremony of the outreach in Iwo, Adeleke reiterated the commitment of his administration to quality health care delivery in the state.
Adeleke, who expressed readiness to develop the state and make it better than he met it, also assured that his administration would pay particular attention to develop all health care centres in the state with a view to ensuring healthy living.
He said, “The current administration in the state will focus on the welfare of the masses, especially health care delivery, road rehabilitation and construction and infrastructural development.”
He further disclosed that no fewer than 18,000 people spread across the nine federal constituencies of the state would benefit from the first phase of the exercise.
In his remarks, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi, commended Adeleke for the initiative, saying many less privileged would be saved from untimely death.
