Nigerian influencer Dr. Penking is being sued by US musician Nicki Minaj for alleged copyright infringement and cyberbullying.
Dr. Penking posted an old video of the rapper on X on Saturday along with the comment, “Nicki Minaj should understand that she has gotten old and retire,” sparking the debate.
Minaj accused him of exploiting the video to “harass” her and questioned if he had authorisation to share it in a now-deleted tweet.
He had been added to her case, she added.
“Are you allowed to harass me on this or any other platform using this video that I recorded years ago? She wrote, “You were just included to the suit.
In his defense, PenKing wrote, “Tell Nicki Minaj that My self and my team are ready and eagerly anticipating her papers. Freedom of speech and expression is supreme in all constitutions in the world and I have the right to express my opinion at all times . Is she old? Yes she is 43.
“There is nothing harassing about this. It is a publicly accessible information on Wikipedia. Should she retire? I think she should. That’s my personal opinion and I stand by it. You can agree or disagree. I will not be bullied or intimidated by Nicki Minaj or any other “celebrity”
