Popular skit maker Broda Shaggi, real name Samuel Perry, was hospitalized after being allegedly shot while filming under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State on Sunday afternoon, March 8.
His crew rushed him to Blooming Care Hospital in Alakuko, Lagos State, for initial first aid. He was later transferred to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja’s Government Residential Area, where he’s now recuperating.
A police source told Punch that details of the shooting, including the perpetrator, remain unclear.
Lagos State Police Command spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the incident, saying the hospital alerted them about a gunshot victim. “Detectives and a patrol team were mobilized and found it was skit maker and influencer Broda Shaggi, on a stretcher with a thigh injury. The incident occurred in Sango-Ota, outside our jurisdiction, but investigations continue.”
