Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, has addressed reports circulating online regarding his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, allegedly testing positive for substances including cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, morphine, opiates, and other hard drugs

According to previous reports from Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja, signed by its Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Adekunle Adesina, Daniels had been struggling with severe substance abuse. She reportedly participated in a detoxification program at the facility from September 9 to October 15, 2025.

The hospital’s psychological emergency team was reportedly called to Nwoko’s residence on September 23, after Daniels had reportedly gone 48 hours without sleep and exhibited aggressive behavior. The medical report described her as showing verbal aggression, agitation, anger, and an “elated and evasive” mood, with incongruent emotional responses.

The detox program, according to the report, faced challenges due to Daniels’ continued access to psychoactive substances, which hindered her progress in withdrawal.

However, Serenity Royale Hospital clarified via its Instagram page that the leaked report did not originate from them and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Senator Nwoko, in a statement released on Saturday, noted that while the hospital did not deny authorizing the report, it did not release it publicly. He also expressed concern that some of Daniels’ recent actions may reflect a compromised mental and emotional state, making her susceptible to individuals who might exploit her.

The Senator emphasized that his primary concern is for Daniels’ safety, recovery, and continued presence in the lives of her children.
