Transcorp Hotels Plc has appointed Uzo Oshogwe as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), effective January 1, 2025. She will succeed Dupe Olusola, who has led the company since March 2020 and is credited with significant achievements in Nigeria’s hospitality sector, including navigating challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic
Oshogwe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, and a Master’s degree in Information Systems Design from the University of Westminster, London. Additionally, she has a professional certificate in Real Estate Management from Harvard Business School, USA.
With over 30 years of experience, Oshogwe has held leadership roles at United Bank for Africa Plc and Accenture UK. She is currently the MD/CEO of Afriland Properties Ltd, where she has driven key initiatives to enhance the company’s performance.
Mr. Emmanuel N. Nnorom, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Oshogwe’s leadership capabilities, stating that her extensive experience aligns with the company’s vision to deliver excellence and create value in the hospitality sector. Under her guidance, stakeholders anticipate further innovation and strategic growth for Transcorp Hotels Plc.
