“Today was not just my day. I was at the IDP camp, but was not in my usual mood of lightening their burdens with countenance that gives hope. While the barbing was going on I went back to Apir to package what would be theirs tomorrow. I came back later to appreciate the Barbers and one of them worsened my predicament. He made away with my NEW CLIPPERS and abandoned his for archival use. It is this evening that I really know what was cooking. It was the d3ath of Chief Bernard Isho Sumari. He was one of the most hardworking farmers in Daudu. Just last week Thursday he was in Apir for the Diocesan PTA meeting. When he was done with the meeting he traced me to the backyard farm to have a word with me. He did and promised to visit very SOON. The SOON that will never come. The Fulani herdsmen killed him with two others who accompanied him to his farm,” the priest wrote.
