Aunty Esther, a well-known personal shopper on X (formerly Twitter), has passed away following a cancer diagnosis. She trended earlier this month after reports emerged that she declined a doctor-recommended blood transfusion.
Esther had shared with her followers that tests confirmed cancer in her breast and armpit. She expressed gratitude to those who donated financially toward her treatment. However, Sir Dickson, one of the donation coordinators, announced he and another medical volunteer had withdrawn from her case. He explained that doctors advised a blood transfusion before chemotherapy, but Esther refused due to her Jehovah’s Witness beliefs. According to Dickson, her church warned of disfellowshipping if she accepted blood, and some family members emphasized that “whatever happens is God’s will.”
