Kano court jails Tiktokers over ‘vulgar’ videos

Two TikTokers have been sentenced by a Kano magistrates’ court located at No. 47 in Norman’s land, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State, for sharing offensive movies that infringe against the state’s moral and religious sensibilities.

 

The state Censorship Board apprehended Ahmad Isa and Maryam Musa from the Ladainai neighborhood in the Hotoro Quarters, and they were subsequently charged in court.

They entered a guilty plea on charges of criminal conspiracy and disseminating illegal content on social media brought by the state’s attorney, Barr. Garzali Maigari Bichi.

 

 

Judge Hadiza Muhammad Hassan charged them with good behavior and sentenced them to a year in prison or a fine of N100,000 apiece.
