CONFIRMED: Man Utd press ahead for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United is determined to finalize an agreement with Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund.

After reaching a verbal agreement on personal terms with the player, manager Erik ten Hag urged the club to make significant efforts this week.

As we previously disclosed, Hojlund has given his approval in principle to a contract with Manchester United.

His agency, SEG, is leading the negotiations through CEO Kees Vos and agent Kees Ploegsma.

Earlier this year, the 20-year-old switched to the Amsterdam-based agency in order to facilitate a move to the Premier League, and he is optimistic about joining Old Trafford.

Although Atalanta had initially planned to sell the forward in 2024 when his value could potentially double, Ten Hag has expressed his desire to bring the young player to the club this summer.

Hojlund has indicated that he would submit a transfer request if an agreement on the fee cannot be reached between the two parties, and he aims to switch clubs before the start of the next season.

Sources inform us that there is confidence in striking a deal, and it is not expected to approach the reported £85 million mark.

We have been told that a fee of approximately £60 million would be sufficient to secure Hojlund’s services, making him the club’s third signing of the transfer window, joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
