Two men have been taken into custody by the Bauchi State Police Command on suspicion of sodomizing a 12-year-old boy.
This was revealed in a statement released on Tuesday by CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the command spokeswoman.
He said that after the victim’s father filed a complaint, police detained Lukman Mohammed and Musa Halilu.
The Police Public Relations Office claims that Mohammed, Halilu, and another escaping suspect, who went by the name Alkasim, enticed the minor into their home and engaged him in anal intercourse.
According to the statement, Mr. Ibrahim Maikudi filed a formal complaint concerning an alleged event involving criminal conspiracy and unnatural offenses at the Bauchi Police Command’s ‘C’ Divisional Headquarters on July 16, 2025, at approximately 1200 hours.
According to the allegation, Mr. Maikudi found feces on his 12-year-old son’s pants. His wife confirmed this observation, stating that she had seen it happen several times.
Upon inquiry, the minor disclosed that he had been enticed by three individuals, identified as Lukman Mohammed, 30, Musa Halilu, 32, and Alkasim, surname unknown.
Detectives were sent to the scene in response to the report, and the victim was sent to a specialized hospital in Bauchi for a medical evaluation. As a result, two suspects have been arrested while the third is still at large.
According to preliminary investigations, an eyewitness who was a watchman near the scene willingly told the police that he had seen one of the defendants, Musa Halilu, chasing the youngster twice. MORE DETAILSÂ
