In a video circulating online, Umeh accused the family of using social media and blogs to pressure the singer’s widow, Elizabeth Olayemi, describing the situation as an attempt to publicly intimidate a grieving woman.

Umeh said the widow was married to the deceased and should have a say in decisions concerning her husband’s final resting place.

“This is absolutely none of my business, but I’m a woman with a platform and we are watching in real time a widow get buried by her late husband’s family on the internet. The internet is being used as a weapon,” she said.

She questioned the family’s actions, arguing that the couple were married and not merely friends, and that using online platforms to force the widow to accept their wishes was unfair.

Umeh warned that the ongoing public dispute could cause the widow psychological harm and urged the family to consider the emotional impact of their actions.

She also said the widow has every right to decide where her husband should be buried, adding that the family should allow her to grieve without public pressure.
