Nollywood actor and political commentator Kenneth Okonkwo has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, saying he does not understand “what Nigerians did to God” for Tinubu to become president.

Okonkwo, a spokesperson for ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, made the remarks during an appearance on News Central Television.

“I don’t know what we did to God for Tinubu to be our president. Oh God, we are sorry,” Okonkwo said.
He also praised Atiku’s position on fuel affordability, arguing that reducing petrol prices should be a priority as Nigerians continue to contend with rising living costs.
Okonkwo linked Atiku’s stance to a broader coalition of politicians whose names begin with “A,” citing Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi, and himself, Kenneth Arinze Okonkwo.
His comments come amid ongoing public debate over petrol prices, the cost of living, and the Federal Government’s economic policies. They also add to political discussion around Atiku’s economic proposals ahead of the 2027 general elections.
