The senator argued that any borrowing undertaken by the FCT Administration should be subject to legislative scrutiny and approval, stressing that the Senate has a constitutional responsibility to oversee financial decisions affecting the capital territory.
She called for greater transparency in the management of FCT funds, including disclosure of the loans obtained, their terms, and the specific projects for which they are being secured.
As at the time of filing this report, Wike and the FCT Administration had not issued a public response to the allegation.
