Twin Brothers, Two Others Jailed 14 Years for Lagos Armed Robbery

A Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja, Lagos, sentenced twin brothers Ojomo Taiwo and Ojomo Kehinde, plus Emmanuel Bamidele (aka DPO) and Peter Samuel (aka Mogaji), to 14 years imprisonment each for armed robbery and conspiracy.

Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe approved the sentence after the defendants—initially arraigned in 2020 and pleading not guilty—entered a voluntary plea bargain on April 14, 2026, reducing potential time from 21 years. The charges violated Section 298(1) of Lagos State’s 2015 Criminal Law.

On June 5, 2020, around 11:30 p.m. at Oshodi Bridge, the group posed as stranded passengers and boarded victim Sadiq Abiodun Ezekiel’s blue 2005 Toyota Sienna (LSR 771 GG). They drew firearms, assaulted him, stole an Android phone, iPhone, ATM card, N15,000 cash, and the vehicle, then dumped him at Charley Boy bus stop in Gbagada.

Police recovered the Sienna at Ikeja Shopping Mall that day. The victim found a loaded double-barrel pistol inside and handed it over.
