Ogun Police Launch Probe into TikToker’s R@pe Claim Amid ICU Treatmen

The Ogun State Police Command has begun investigating sexual assault allegations filed by TikToker Mirabel, who is currently in intensive care (ICU).

On Channel TV’s The Morning Brief, police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed that Mirabel voluntarily reported the incident at Ibafo Police Division on Tuesday, February 17. Due to her unstable condition, she was rushed to a hospital for medical evaluation and care.

“When the Divisional Police Officer met her, she wasn’t stable enough, but we ensured the probe continued,” Babaseyi said. “She’s now in ICU receiving priority treatment. Her health comes first—once stable, we’ll gather full facts.”

The alleged assault occurred in Ogijo, a border town between Ogun and Lagos states. Police clarified Mirabel is a victim, not under arrest, and urged witnesses to provide information.

“She reported the case; no arrest happened,” Babaseyi emphasized. “If proven true, the perpetrator faces arrest and prosecution. False claims will also be addressed under the law.”
